An elderly woman was killed while trying to drive over the railroad tracks. The accident occurred last week at 10:20 a.m. on Diehlman Road.
Police have said that the accident occurred as the train was trying to back up and the woman was trying to cross the railroad. The train was about six cars long and the driver was at fault in the accident.
The woman either did not see the flashing lights or tried to make its across even though they were on. The road was shut down near the tracks after the accident.
