Poison Dangers With Detergent Capsules

In today’s society, laundry detergent capsules are becoming quite popular. With increased popularity, these capsules have also increased the number of poisoning cases per year.

The Poison Control Center says there have been 8,500 cases so far this year, and one child even died in August after eating a Sun Products detergent capsule.

The detergent capsules are small and brightly colored, which have been mistaken as candy by many young children.

Laundry detergent companies are adding new features to these products such as latches and changing the colors to help, but are urging parents to help keep them away from children.
