Chrysler Recalls Minivans — Possible Overheating Switch

Chrysler has recently announced that it is recalling approximately 770,000 after receiving reports of possible overheating, including some fires, in the third-row power window vent switches.  In total, 36 incidents of  overheating were reported along with an undisclosed number of fires, but no accidents or injuries were found in relation to this problem.

Affected are certain Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country minivans from model years 2010 through 2014.  An estimated 644, 850 of those were sold in the United States.

Owners of these vehicles will be contacted about all replacement information. In the interim, customers may visit dealers after May 14 to have the vent switches disconnected, eliminating the risk of overheating.
