A 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle last week and later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident.
The accident has occurred in Hannibal on Munger Lane when the driver of the car was heading northbound. There was heavy rainfall when the accident occurred which may have attributed to the accident.
The 12-year-old boy was stuck by the vehicle and was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The 18-year-old driver of the car was also transported to the hospital. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been called in to help assist in the investigation.
