Stolen car causes Missouri truck accident

A person who allegedly stole a car and drove the wrong way on the road, caused a truck accident that injured six people.

The driver of the truck was speeding away from police and driving the wrong way on U.S. 71. Police were following the vehicle because it had been called in as stolen. Officials found the alleged suspect while he was trying to break into another vehicle.

When he saw the police were onto him, he fled the scene. The chase ended with the truck causing a major accident. Officials have said that the injuries caused in the accident were all non-life threatening.

Truck driver admits to taking eyes off road before accident

Missouri Highway Patrol said that a truck driver admitted that he took his eyes off of the road and when he looked up was unable to stop for slowing traffic, causing a truck accident.

The semi-truck rear-ended a car causing a horrific accident on Interstate 55. The semi-truck could not stop in time and it ran over a Ford Focus and drug it 100 yards. The 52-year-old man driving this vehicle was killed.

The semi-truck driver than swerved to the right hitting more cars and killing a 28-year-old female driver. An accident re constructionist is currently reviewing the accident to see if the truck driver is negligent.

One injured in collision with semi-truck

A man from Sunrise Beach was injured after a car and semi-truck accident on Highway 65.

The 61-year-old man was driving a GMC at 8:30 a.m. on May 24 when he attempted to cross the highway. When he was in the middle of the intersection he was struck by a semi-truck, which caused his vehicle to go off the side of the road.

The man was wearing a seat belt and suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital to be treated.

One killed in fertilizer truck vs. car accident

One person died and another was seriously injured after an accident between a fertilizer truck and a car.

Missouri Highway Patrol said that the accident occurred on Highway 50 near Route W. The highway remained closed for hours while an investigation was done and the roadway was cleaned up. The injured person was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, but their current condition is unknown.
