An explosion in a biochemistry lab at Missouri University left four people injured.
The lab belonged to a professor at the University, but she did not comment on any details of the explosion. The lab was commonly used for experiments concerning bacteria.
The people involved in the accident included a graduate student, two post doctoral students and a lab technician were all working in the lab at the time the explosion occurred. One of the victims remains in the hospital, but is listed as good condition.
The source of the ignition of the fire is unknown, but it is thought that the flammable combination of gases used in the lab somehow got involved with the ignition source.
Gas explosions can cause serious injury for everyone in a nearby area, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
